A kick-ass Chicago feminist zine started by my best friend, where I was asked to contribute a story and two spreads. There's no better feeling than being a part of something you wholeheartedly believe in. I believe it shows in my work.
My spread for Unsung Femmes is my favorite thing I've ever made. I wrote a story about how problematic it was for women to tear each other down in the press and how it affects the surrounding culture subsequently. Coincidentally enough, I was forced to re-write the story ahead of printing the zine due to the celebrity drama that unfolded upon the release of Taylor Swift's pointed "Bad Blood" video.
My close friend, comedienne Rachel Luckett, wrote an incredible piece about her experiences with sexism in comedy. I was honored to bring her story to life on paper.
